Rosie, Rhianna Kenny + Kadialy on Kora

Rosie will begin the session with a guided Yin journey, accompanied by binaural beats, to prepare you for meditation. For those who opt in, Rhianna, a trained Thai Yoga Massage therapist, will offer a taster of this ancient practice, moving through the room to apply gentle pressure on energy lines of the hands and faces, promoting deep relaxation.

The journey will then smoothly transition into a live performance led by Rhianna Kenny, a professional vocalist and acclaimed artist who has toured with Faithless, Liam Gallagher, Roísín Murphy, Bryan Ferry, and Robbie Williams. Her emotive live vocals will cultivate a profound sense of peace, rest, and restoration. Rhianna will be joined by Kadiaky Kouyatre, playing the Kora, an instrument akin to a harp or lute, often associated with meditative practices in Tibetan Buddhist and Bon traditions.

The Art of Handbalancing

05 and 06.10.2024

Join this 4-hour workshop with acclaimed Mr Pep handbalancing coach.

Mr. Pep is a self-taught, multi-skilled coach dedicated to forging a deep connection between body and mind.

His diverse background in sports and movement disciplines, combined with overcoming serious injuries, has honed his relentless commitment to precision in teaching movement and form.

The Art of Handbalance workshops are designed to foster and expand the handstand community in London. Handbalancing is often a solo practice, but the sense of community is crucial—it keeps us motivated, accountable, and connected.

Through years of handstand practice, Mr Pep has come to appreciate the importance of being part of a supportive community. It’s what keeps us going, helps us progress, and ensures we don’t feel alone on this journey.

To ensure everyone can participate in this incredible discipline, Mr Pep has organised two separate groups: one for beginners and another for intermediate/advanced practitioners.

What to Expect:

Practice Focus: We’ll cover essential techniques and details to help you learn and improve your handstand.

Beginners: Saturday 5th October

All participants of the beginners class must be able to hold at least a 45 seconds back and face to wall handstand.

We’ll focus on the basics and technique of the handstand, including positional drills, shapes, sequences, and partner games.

Intermediate/Advanced: Sunday 6th October

All participants of the Intermediate/Advanced class must be able to hold at least a consistent 15/20 seconds freestanding.

We’ll work on handstand basics, how to relax on your hands, explore shapes, sequences, handstands on blocks, head-in handstands, and a brief introduction to the one-arm handstand.

Individual Attention:

Throughout the workshops, Mr Pep will provide personalised feedback to ensure you receive the guidance needed to refine your practice.

Coach Participation:

Mr Pep will be practicing alongside you, demonstrating and revisiting essential exercises. This hands-on approach ensures we all progress together.
